Daniel Healey, Licensed Massage Therapist #6320 (NM)
Daniel's bodywork sessions are non-linear and never the same, as he incorporates all that he has learned into an intuitive treatment based on the client's current situation. His treatments are always relaxing and effective at bringing balance not only physically but also energetically and emotionally.
Daniel has been interested in the healing arts since 1998 when he began studying Yoga and Ayurveda. His personal wellness practice inspired him to move to New Mexico and pursuit studies at the Ayurvedic Institute. Daniel's work demonstrates a deepened understanding of life systems and how we heal by attending to our own unique constitution. After studying with with renowned Ayurvedic Physician, Dr. Vasant Lad, he graduated in 2008 as a Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor.
This quickly awakened his passion for working with health, healing and his hands! Daniel soon enrolled at The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics where he completed an extensive 800 hour therapeutic massage and bodywork course. He learned techniques and philosophies of Reflexology, Polarity, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbology, Flower Essences, and other natural therapeutics. His training has provided a practical approach to holistic health and wellness.
In Daniel's post-graduate studies, he has completed all 7 levels of Core Synchronism, which blends and deepens Cranial Osteopathy and Polarity Therapy. Since 2009 Daniel has worked privately with clients of all ages and has especially enjoyed supporting clients recovering from cancer, and those that suffer from chronic pain and various forms of debility, including survivors of Traumatic Brain Injuries. Daniel also served on the faculty of his Ayurvedic Institute from 2011-2013, as an Ayuryoga Instructor. In 2011, Daniel also became a Colon Hydrotherapist under the guidance and apprenticeship of Bill Hagard.
"I have learned to trust the bodies innate ability to heal itself given the right conditions: relaxation, proper nutrition and or medicine, water and appropriate movement and breathing. In my treatments I am focusing and listening to my clients body and, using what I have leaned, assisting the body to release the unique tension pattern, meaning to relax. How the body transfers tension is non-linear and so are my treatments but my intension is to always help you to relax and let your body heal itself." - Daniel Healey, LMT
