Personal Background
DJ was born and raised in Louisiana. Upon completing high school, he joined the Air Force where he worked on communication and navigation systems. After separating from the military, he worked some physically intensive jobs, racking up plenty of injuries from repetitive use and bad mechanics. This began his interest in the human body, setting him on a mission to correct his mechanics and strengthen his body as a whole.
“When my spouse was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, there was a stigma to the condition, and not very many people that took it seriously. During research we found massage was something recommended for the condition and gave it a try. After some time she found that her flare-ups were a lot loss frequent and this solidified my respect for the profession of massage and its therapeutic properties... I subsequently enrolled in Massage School, and have been honing my skills ever since.”
As he progresses in his career, he hopes to gain even deeper knowledge in injury rehabilitation, neuromuscular massage, and the Hellerwork bodywork system.
Massage is a profession in which DJ clearly excels, and we’re glad he found it in time to care for our many patients in need of his services.
